Paper-Carved Koala Chewing Eucalyptus
Layers of cut paper build the branch and leaves, with the background blurred into a warm beige-brown haze.
✍️ My daughter looked at it and said the koala was having dinner, and that's when I realized the small action of "one leaf being nibbled" is what saves the image: the animal is no longer just posing. For paper-carved styles, the key is to say the leaves look "almost paper-cut"; with that line, the edges pick up a layered thickness.

3D carved-paper-style illustration, shot as a close-up, of a charming koala perched on a textured tree branch, its body angled slightly to the right. In its paws it holds a small bunch of eucalyptus leaves, one of which it is nibbling. The big round ears stand up, and the dark, beady eyes look straight ahead. Its fur has a soft, textured look and the paws show detailed claws. The thick brown branch has visible bark texture and a few smaller twigs branching off. All around the koala and branch grows a lush setting of eucalyptus trees and leaves, painted in assorted greens and beiges with a slightly stylized, almost paper-cut feel. Keep the background softly blurred in muted brown and beige tones that hint at more trees and foliage, for a warm, natural mood. The light is soft and diffused, picking out the koala and its immediate surroundings.
