A Tiny Cloaked Figure Before a Silk Curtain of Water

Shoot a 9:16 vertical, photorealistic, surreal long-exposure photograph of a mountain waterfall. Composition: in the left foreground, a huge dark-brown layered cliff takes up nearly half the frame width, its coarse rock strata stacked diagonally with edges kept sharp; from a gap in the high mountains toward the upper left, an unusually broad silver-grey waterfall pours out. On the centre-right stands a sharp, dark, solitary peak, equally crisp. At the bottom is a narrow, damp brown shore, where an adult in a long black cloak, back to the camera, stands centre-right, occupying only about 3% of the frame height, completely sharp. Render the water as a long exposure of tens of seconds to several minutes on a steady tripod: as the waterfall drops from height it melts into a thick, smooth, continuous vertical silk curtain, with fine parallel strands of water still clearly visible; after landing, the enormous torrent is squeezed by the terrain into dozens of milky satin-ribbon terraces curving forward, each ridge of water a smooth continuous curve, the foam smoothed by time into soft texture, while keeping gradations of grey water veins, never allowing cotton-like dead white. Mist on the mountainside is stretched by the long exposure into low horizontal bands of fog drifting with the sideways wind, partly veiling the distance. Light and colour: pale, overcast, diffused light; cold grey, coal black, dark ochre; the water bright but not overexposed. Low saturation with fine film grain, solemn and cold, with the on-the-spot feel of a real disaster scene. Motion blur applies only to flowing water, foam, fog and mist; the rock, shore, peaks and figure all stay sharp. The four corners and edges of the frame must be completely clean, with no recognizable or unrecognizable characters, letters, numbers, signatures, seals, marks, inscriptions, logos, watermarks, dates or decorative symbols.
