An Empty Porch at Dusk, Waiting for a Group Photo
A violet-blue door frame, two lamps, the floor running all the way back, a clear stretch for a standing family.
✍️ The light comes from two lamps and the sky, and nothing sits in front of the door. The method is to clear "where people will stand" first, then add soft frontal dusk light. Leaving space is harder to write than adding scenery, and more useful.

Dusk, a real photograph of a house entrance porch, shot at standing eye height in a vertical 3:4 portrait frame. The sky and wall tones run cool, while two warm lanterns pool amber light beside the door; that light is meant to give a group standing there later a soft, even key from the front. Centred high in the frame stands one tall, broad original double door, closed, inside a deep plum-blue painted surround with simple flat panels, and plain wall with generous headroom above it. On the wall at each side of the door hangs a clear-glass lantern with a visible flame, both well wide of centre and no lower than head height. Below, level porch boards run unbroken from the threshold to the bottom edge, wide and entirely open: no steps, stairs, doormat, pumpkins or props in the standing area, and nothing cropped at any edge. All surfaces are plain and unlettered, with no house number, sign, wreath text, logo or watermark.
