One Bend Gives Brushed Aluminum a Direction
A single wide aluminum strip bent into shape shows off anisotropic metal reflection — good practice for telling brushed aluminum, mirror chrome, and plastic apart.
✍️ Brushed metal isn't uniformly bright everywhere. The reflection of a strip light should bend with the curve, while the brushing direction runs along the material's length. If the loop starts melting into mush, cut down the number of bends and pin down where both ends land before chasing a more complex shape.
