Wide 16:9 frame. In late autumn, a withered door plant's stalk carries a single dry seed pod shaped like a tiny brass doorknob on a thread-thin stem. Beneath the bare stalk, the old gardener, white-bearded, in a patched straw hat and a green apron, catches the falling pod in his open palm. Soft golden-grey light and fallen leaves sit inside the oval wash. Doors are plain and unmarked, and no lettering, numbers, signs or labels appear anywhere. The old man is the only person in the scene, and there is no child.
