Linocut Badger in Black and White Beneath a Pear Tree
A badger lowers its head to sniff a fallen pear, the woodcut gouges turning separately along the fur and the tree trunk.
✍️ A print using only black and white can still establish differences in material; the key is the direction of the carved lines. The edges of the tree, the animal, and the fruit must be separated so that the dark areas do not all merge into one mass.
