After 2am in a Tokyo backstreet, the rain has soaked everything: a grimy alley of dented neon boards, cables strung across the sky, stained walls of concrete, glowing drink dispensers, rusted shutters pulled down and club flyers pasted up. Through it walks a tall, imposing, gender-ambiguous presence, athletic, with extremely long limbs. Outfit: an oversized, sculpted techwear jacket in matt black, wide trousers in black, work boots the color of wheat, black matt gloves. A black beanie covers a knitted all-black balaclava that hides the entire head, with a single thin opening for the eyes running horizontally and nothing else, so no skin shows. Composition: vertical cinematic still, a steep low camera angle, 3/4 view, the figure sitting slightly off to one side of center, framed above by an enormous skewed crimson neon sign and below by the glowing jade-green entrance to a basement. A pair of ravers hang around beside the stairs.
