A Faceted Paper Café Couple and Their Merle Bulldog
A peach, khaki, cream and mid-blue paper café, with a bulldog built from stacked facets.
✍️ I once folded a paper crane in a café one summer, and that is when I learned what facets are good for: the fewer the color blocks, the more handmade it looks. This one names the paper grain, the fold edges and the offset shadows. Drop any of them and it slides back into flat illustration.

Cardstock papercraft on a clean transparent surround, square format. Around a folded-paper cafe table sit two people: a blonde woman whose bob is cut in facets, and a man with tousled hair in a khaki-brown paper shirt. On the table: cups, a croissant, and a vase of paper flowers. In front of the pair sits their merle French bulldog, assembled from stacked, cut planes. Every piece uses angular matte cardstock in peach, tan, cream and mid-blue, with paper grain you can see, sharp folded edges, fold shadows slightly offset, and round paper eyes.
